Change the Way You Think, in Order to Change the Way You Want to Live!
Cognitive Intervention consists of a series of elaborate lessons that are completed in an individual and group setting. This particular form of addiction prevention requires for the individual to maintain a clear focus on the goals of freedom, self-control, problem-solving, thinking errors and feelings/emotions. It is important for the individual to understand that their behaviors will only change when they first recognize the need to change their thought process.
DWI Intervention is geared to address alcohol and substance use of repeat offenders in the criminal justice system. Participants will learn how to recognize inappropriate drinking patterns related to their alcohol and substance use, as well as assist the client on implementing responsible decisions that lead to long-term healthy living outcomes. This program benefits all participants who are on probation or mandated by the criminal justice system and courts to participate, as well as whom have repeat offenses with alcohol use or drug use convictions.
Substance Abuse Counseling will enable the individual to recognize, analyze, and monitor situations related to their alcohol and drug use in order for them to develop alternative and healthy coping strategies that promote long-term recovery. Through the use of Motivational Interviewing and the development of Treatment Plans that include short-term and long-term goals will support the individual throughout their treatment and recovery while using behavioral self-control techniques that promote healthy living.
Facilitation of HIV/Hepatitis B & C groups, as well as Alcohol & Drug use groups allows for the participant to understand the repercussions of drug use and how such use influences life-threatening outcomes for the individual.

My name is Eric S. Williams and I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Certified DWI Intervention Instructor through the State of Texas. I have 8 years of experience in providing substance abuse counseling unto individuals throughout the State of Texas. My professional experience as a substance abuse counselor began in the criminal justice system of Texas through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice from 2007 to 2009. My professional career expanded into the Mental Health realm as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Dallas County, Wichita County, and Harris County from 2010 to Present. It is important for drug users, their families, and communities to understand how the effects of alcohol and drug use negatively impact the short-term and long-term thought processes of violators who choose to use illicit drugs. Many individuals who choose to use illicit drugs begin to develop behaviors that negatively impact their ability to sustain employment, relationships, and healthy coping skills that effects their freedom. Therefore, it is important for first offenders and repeat offenders of alcohol & drug use to identify the significance of maintaining sobriety in order for them to successfully transition back into society and the workforce. Through the use of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Intervention, and Drug & Alcohol Counseling I will be able to adequately provide useful facilitation unto alcohol & substance abuse individuals that may promote long-term healthy living and sobriety.
